Photo and Image Consent Policy
Last updated: 20/08/2026
At Nic's Knacks, we love capturing the fun of a face painting session and the character of a handmade piece coming to life. This policy explains how and when we take photos, and how you can have a say in it.
When We Take Photos
We may take photos or short videos:
At parties and community events, showing face painting designs and happy faces enjoying them
At market stalls, showing our pottery range and the stall itself
Of finished pottery pieces for our online store and portfolio
Photos of Children
We treat photos of children with extra care.
At private bookings (like birthday parties), we'll always check with the parent, guardian, or event host before photographing kids, and we're happy to skip it entirely if preferred.
At public community events, general crowd or activity shots may be taken as part of the event's own photography — this is usually covered by the event organiser's own consent process, not ours. If you'd like your child excluded from any photos we personally take, just let us or our event staff know on the day.
We never publish a child's name alongside their photo without separate, explicit parental consent.
How We Use Photos
With consent, photos may appear on:
Our website and online store
Instagram, Facebook, or other social media
Printed flyers, banners, or market signage
Portfolio material shown to prospective clients
We focus on the artwork and atmosphere rather than close, identifiable portraits wherever possible.
Your Choices
Opt out anytime: Tell us before, during, or after your booking or market visit, and we won't use your (or your child's) photo. No reason needed.
Ask for removal: If you spot a photo of yourself or your child on our site or socials and would rather it wasn't there, just get in touch and we'll take it down promptly.
No photos at all: If you'd prefer we don't photograph your event or stall visit whatsoever, let us know in advance where possible so we can plan around it.
Getting in Touch
