Hi, I'm Nic.
In 2024, after stepping away from full-time work for health reasons, my mum signed us both up for a pottery workshop, mostly just to get us out of the house. I fell in love with clay that day, and that night, I booked six more lessons. The rest, as they say, is history.
There's something unpredictable about clay that intrigues me, the shaping, the glazing, the slow unfolding of a piece from something formless into something whole. No two ever come out quite the same.
A year later, I tried my hand at face painting at a local community event. Watching a child catch their reflection as a butterfly or a tiger, that spark of delight, hooked me instantly.
Why Nic's Knacks?
Whether I'm painting a face or shaping clay, it's the same energy running through both: the wish to make something a little bit magical, by hand.
About the Artist
Hello! When I'm not face painting or making pottery, you can find me hanging out with my cat, listening to music, or learning a new craft.
